we'd trade for him and he'd struggle a little and everyone would give up on him like Drysdale

No doubt about it

Just want to point out that there was a time on this site folks didn’t want to trade Provorov for William Nylander

Flyers (and we fans) need to accept that no one but Michkov is untouchable. There is no elite talent on the team or in the system except for MM. if there’s an opportunity to trade for someone who professional scouts belive are elite talents, no price is too much to pay. If they think Wright or Jiricek are such talents, then go for it.

He's been better since the scratch. He's got value and is an asset they should not be moving when he's down. He will get his game together, he always does. But he's also very inconsistent. He needed to show that he can get off to a good start, and he has not. I don't have him on the trade block but I think he is a more liquid asset that can be moved in a package deal that can net Philly a better Center or higher Draft pick. I can see him being here, or somewhere else. I think he's a good player but I don't think he's vital to the rebuild.

Then the question becomes is why is another team trading an elite talent? Why is another team trading an elite talent for non-elite talents in exchange? Does quantity get quality? It has happened but it's rare and not something you can rely on nor a realistic plan.

Way too early to give up on but he isn't even showing glimpses and is hurt again. Really has not played will all season. Can say that about a number of players though.
