I think you counter it with quick short passes, proper support and team awareness as well a middle support forward - so you know they are taking away time and space and closing quickly - so you need to move that puck quickly and move it up. If you can do it quickly and effectively, you trap the forecheckers. The teams that forecheck well and effectively have the 2 man forecheck that drastically disrupts most 2 man support systems, you need to adapt that outman the 2 man forecheck by keeping a support forward back and not have everyone fly the zone.

But you look at Rielly or McCabe as examples - they don't move the puck up and out quickly and well. It's calculated and considered.
