Not Frost alone, but I think there is a deal to be made with Frost as part of the deal. In the end, it does not matter where Joracek was picked, it only matters if he can play, and not being able to stay in the lineup for a bad Columbus team is pretty damming. Its very similar to Frost being benched on a Flyers team that is in desperate need of centers.

It does matter where he was picked and not being in the Columbus lineup is irrelevant let alone damming. It's not remotely similar to the Frost situation with the Flyers. Those are all incorrect reads on the situation.

It does matter where he was drafted. That plays a big part of his value.
- furio16

It does when he was drafted within the last two years.

There’s a lot of passengers tonight.

Glad to see Risto at least moving his feet and trying to get the team going. At least the Flyers didn't have a bad 2nd period for once. They are still in this and have a chance if they come out and play a good 3rd.

He is very young and defenseman take loger to develop, at least 150 NHL games. I wonder if Columbus really wants to move him? If they really do, I then wonder if there are some character issues or something similar to Gauthier with the Flyers.

Though I love Michkov's intention to stick up for TK, it was a dumb penalty and I bet we will not see Michkov for at least the remainder of the 2nd period. I love Michkov so far, but he has got to learn and unfortunately I would sit him for the game.
- jd250

That's ridiculous. Live with the growing pains and put him right back out there.

The Flyers so far as playing a bad game. I don't understand how they can play so well against Vegas and so bad tonight. They making Nashville look like Colorado right now. Michkov benched makes it worse.
- jd250

It's who they are. They played so well against Vegas? They had a 3-0 lead and then got outscored 4-1 in that game. Michkov wasn't benched.

I’ve liked his game all year and thought he played well when healthy last year.

Do I really need to explain that to you? How it's not at all similar? You're not aware of the difference between a very young player, playing a completely different position who is not quite ready for full time NHL duty. Versus an older player and struggles as well as a stubborn coach who views everything as a nail? Hyperbole.

Compared to their other 2nd periods, this one was a bit better after that first 5 minutes. I think the Flyers have given up the most 2nd period goals in the league so far this season.

The Flyers are sitting back, not playing aggressively. Getting completely outworked along the wall and in the corners.

Columbus has a bad team and there are many spots open at forward and defense. The Flyers are weak at center and desperately need centers. Both players are having trouble staying in the lineup due to performance issues. This to me is a similarity.

Columbus is 1 point behind the Flyers with 2 games in hand. -2 goal differential compared -14 for the Flyers.

It was a yes or no question. Flyers have 4 regulation wins. That is a disgrace.

Much of that has zero to do with setting Jiricek's value. There is a big difference between a young player developing and a player like Frost.

Jiricek is 20 YEARS OLD
