They have 2 games in hand on every team that is ahead of them

This was a pretty good point made by a pretty good blogger

The team is treading water, but with their soft schedule so far that doesn’t bode well if they can’t flip the light switch soon.

Are you saying the Jack Adams is cursed and coaches die shortly after winning it?

It's very roster dependent, firing coaches is predominantly just a smokescreen for a failing GM. Boston, for instance, has an old slow, offensively challenged roster. They're at the end of a very strong and successful cycle, it's not the coach, it's the players.

You mean like a GM going all-in on a core group of players that was assembled by one of the worst GM's in NHL history, that had many players have career years, and very few injuries, all while having the 1st decent season in over a decade?

Also, I agree, Boston needed to reset after the retirement of future HOF Bergeron and Krejci

Are you saying Krejci will be a HOFer? If so you're very wrong

No, nothing like that, Allvin hasn't gone "all-in" on the roster, I don't know how you come to that conclusion? He won't trade his two good prospects and they still have their 1st and 2nd round picks for 2025. But I get your point as you exhaustingly put it out there all the time. The coach in Vancouver is not in any imminent danger of being fired and the roster has had a lot of injuries.

They are still in the top half of the league, thankfully the schedule's been soft with all the injuries. Once healthy they're a 100 point team in my opinion. Defense needs fixing with another puck-mover.

Dylan Guenther heating up again, kids an absolute stud at 21 years old. He has 20 points in 22 games, leading the Coyotes in scoring, including 10 goals now. That contract is looking pretty good huh!!

Canucks are playing at a 98 point pace despite being well off of their best. Another trade with the impact Zadorov had last year + the stars coming back healthy would definitely be enough to get them back to where they were.

He'd be even better on a 2 year bridge for 4.5!!

But every time you do you're whining about something instead of just enjoying the games for what they are, some sports entertainment with family, friends and a few beers, or drugs in Weedwoods' case.

He's making $895,000 dollars this year. Much like the Pettersson contract, his extension will look great by the time he hits the middle of it. Forward thinking, son!!

Yes, a lot of new faces and once they're healthy they'll be fun to watch again with some tweaks here and there.

2 off of the long list from the Canucks excuse book, you may want to add floods next time.

It's just reality, which you just explained you're highly invested in. Obviously they're not a Cup contending team, at least in my opinion, but it's fun to watch them again as they have a chance to win on most nights when healthy. I'm thankful for that!! The Benning years were painful, but they did bring good draft positions, so there is that.

Sounds like Canuck Defenceman Filip Hronek is going to be out a while with an upper body injury.

Dealing from a position of weakness. Time to get those picks and prospects on the table, unless they go for a tier 2 band aid.
