Nobody played the Pens tougher than the Sens and we all remember the flutter puck in overtime. It was a hurtful loss. But, you have no idea how proud we are of our team. If the Leafs ever have any success one day...you may know the feeling.

Remember when you mocked my telling you that Pierre McGuire was saying after Christmas that insiders were picking the Sens as their dark horse contender to go all the way to the Stanley Cup final. It is in this thread if you want to go back and see it.

You will see the same story unfolding for next year. Sens will be adding more speed and youth. Chabot and Harpur added to a 7 man defensive roster. Colin White playing third line. And a top 6 forward with big speed being added by way of trade.

Only weak spot is Anderson in terms of age and his habit of alternating between good and bad seasons.

Looks like Sens are going to have to sweeten pot to keep both Methot and Ceci through expansion draft. Borowiecki will also be exposed. All three are local Ottawa boys and nobody wants to see any of them go.

There are lots of Leaf and Canadiens fans in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. Sens place premium value on those tickets (they actually charge more). Season ticket holders can sell those tickets real easy to offset the cost of their season ticket package. Businesses cater to clients who are Leaf and Canadiens fans when the teams come to town. So, filling the building with Leaf and Canadiens fans is actually very good business for the Sens as all sales in the building do really well.

Need to remember anybody 26 years or older was born before the Sens came to town. Their fan base is still very young. More important they won over huge numbers during this recent playoff run.

Remember, I am a Leaf fan that has made the switch. There are lots of us and our numbers are growing.
