No it does not, it gives more teams the appearance that they can make the playoffs, deeper into the season, when if fact the playoffs spots are pretty much determined around Christmas.

Loser points makes it pretty much impossible for teams out of the playoffs by 10 points at the time of the All Star break, to catch and pass teams and make it into the playoffs.


On December the 7th, these were the teams that held down Playoff spots in the east.

Boston

Only toronto has slipped out, and the Rangers have taken over that opening.

Do you not think Boston will continue to fall. Florida looks good. Ottawa would make the playoffs if they can catch Florida. But, that would mean having to win out west and this is not likely going to happen.

The media reports on Kessel being fat and lazy and doesnt work out (you regurgitate here over and over)..they report on Dion being a bad leader and terrible player (you regurgitate here over and over) .. they just get piled on non stop.
If he doesnt say anything he is a coward and doesnt care, if he speaks up he is whining and is asked if he wants to leave.

Burke/Nonis/Poulin/Loiselle are to blame for the team as it is..they built the team, they decided that Kessel and Dion were the ones to build the team with..as the main parts and paid them accordingly. they are just 2 players.. Kessel is elite yes, but he cant do it on his own.. Dion is fine as a 2/3..but paid more than that..so he gets piled on also.

Social media is the new buzz word.

It drives me crazy. I've grown to hate Facebook, instagram, twitter, etc.

Too many people paying way too much attention to it.

It's a fad, it will die down quite a bit, and I can't wait until it does.

I agree with you on this 100%. One of the local TV newscasts has a "social Media room" that they go to, and show us what "is burning up the twittist-sphere" ........who the Funk cares!!!! If i did, I'd get a twitter account and check it out for myself.


I admit to having a FB account, to keep in touch with friends and family who use it, but that's it.
