If they get Lecavalier, they're fools. His contract is horrible. It should cost a lot less than a top deaft pick to get Vinny at this point.
And no, it's not a "Superb" draft at all. As usuall, you're exagerating a point against the Leafs. It's a very good top 5 draft, but it seriously lacks depth beyond that. - RogerRoeper
it's a decent top-5... lets be honest, Hall is supposed to be the cream of the crop, and he didn't exactly look great at the IIHF.
The top tier of this draft is like the 2nd tier of last draft, the Kane/Schenn/Kulikov crew. |

Size is a stat. So, no they don't.
Players that short that aren't extremely quick don't normally make it in the NHL. |

Tell Marty St. Louis that size matters. Or Theo Fleury for that matter. |

It's almost like "don't normally" implies there are exceptions. Generally, the small guys have to have incredible speed to even have a shot. |

Ummm. No. But we're not talking about guys that are already IN the NHL. When it comes to predicting those that may make the NHL in the first place, size is definitely a factor. The number that make it in the NHL is low, and generally, those that do, have high end speed. If you're small, and not overly quick, no matter how talented you are, it rarely translates to NHL success. See guys like Krog, Locke, and Keith Aucoin in the AHL. Perennial AHL stars. Can't crack the NHL. |

Trotter is bigger and stronger than Bozak. You try to make it sound like being 2 inches smaller is SO important.
All stats say that Trotter > Bozak. Plain and simple. |

Bigger and stronger?? Hahah. See, you're struggling. He's 3 inches shorter, and weighs 15 pounds less. And Bozak IS fast as hell.
Sorry bud, no contest. |

I don't overhype Bozak at all. I fully realize he's not a top prospect.
But Brock Trotter? LOL.

It's more than AHL. It's every year he's played.
I'm not even high on Trotter... I'm just showing how mediocre prospects get too much spotlight in Toronto which makes their fans think they have high potential. |

No, I'm aware he's no elite centre in the making. His high end potential is probably along the lines of Grabovski. 60 points. If we're really lucky, he maxes out at 70, in his prime. IMO. Most likely, he's a 40 to 50 point guy.
But he's still better than every Habs prospect at centre. and he's not the Leafs best centre prospect. |

Bozak has the potential to be a pretty good 2nd line center, but the key word there is potential. He hasn't done too bad at all playing for the big club. Is he going to be an elite player? No. But he does have the potential to be a top six forward and he has done a pretty good job holding his own on the team's top line. |

it could be worse, instead of having two free agent goalies, you could have Pascal Leclaire locked up for another season with a $3.8 million cap hit |

I guess Brock Trotter has the same potential then since he did better than Bozak at every level.
You see your fellow (prock) stating that Bozak is a better prospect than Louis Leblanc or even Ben Maxwell is quite amusing. |

I don't really know much about the Habs prospects, so I'm not going to say who is going to be an impact player in the NHL and who isn't, it's way too early to tell for all of these prospects.
