Habs really haven't been a much better team, and neither have the sens... the teams are all gonna finish fairly close

Senators have finally got the goal tending they've been looking for..........for at least a decade...........so that is one up on both the habs and the leafs.

Of the three teams, they will all be competing for the last seed or two in the conference............and by then the teams should have gelled and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

The Habs could very easily be winless themselves. They've shown nothing to me to say the Leafs aren't in their league.

yea, because a guy who scored 36 goals as a 21 year old, and was on pace for over 40 is the same as Kurvers

but hey, I guess that means Cowan is gonna suck, since Ottawa drafted Daigle

Kessel was a lottery pick who had a fantastic college career and was always projcted to be a star. He's nothing like Cheechoo.

And Kessel's PPG in the playoffs is higher than his regular season PPG.

It's too bad Kessell won't be appearing in a playoff game anytime soon unless he gets traded again.

The Habs have been competitive in 2 of their losses, against Calgary and Edmonton. And they have two W. The Leafs have been competitive in one of their loss and have no W.

Leafs are the worst team in the league and will give Boston a lottery pick. Stupid Burke.

"Competitive" doesn't give you points. A loss is a loss.

And don't assume after a few games the Leafs will give Boston a top 5 pick.

I can assume it as I have said from the start that the Leafs would suck big time this season because of their lack of talent at all positions.

If a loss is a loss than Montreal shows 3 losses in 5 games and the Leafs show 6 losses in 6 games. 60% of losses vs. 100% of losses. According to your logic (even if you proved to not have any by posting contradictory stuff on a daily basis) I think Montreal is showing they are better than the Leafs there.

Here's one difference, the Leaf's D are underachieving for the players they have. Komisarek can stop taking penalties, Beauchemin is already starting to get his act together and Schenn is just young and needs discipline. Without Markov, the Habs' defense blows with Spacek being their best guy. You guys are getting your laughs now at 6 games into the season and saying the Leafs overachieved last season is such a troll comment, if anyone overachieved last season it was the Habs. Carey Price has kept you guys in about 3 of those 5 games, 2 of which you have won and the other was the Bruins (I think? whichever the one he made around 40 saves). If you put Vesa Toskala in that position, the Habs would have lost by a lot more. So stop coming on with the overrated Leafs D bullpoop when your D is even worse. The Habs offense however is better with no challenge, you just need some chemistry...

I agree. The Leafs will even out over the coming weeks. However, I think I'm entitled to milk their pooptyness for all the zingers I can, while it lasts

The difference between the habs/sens and the leafs though is that we actually have passable goaltending and some legitimate scoring forwards. Leafs have the edge on defense (on paper) so it kind of balances out.

From your comment I can clearly see that you do not watch Habs games.

Anyway, I agree that on paper, without Markov, a top5 Dman in the NHL, the Habs D isn't better than the Leafs', that the Habs goalie tandem is much better than the Leafs' and that the Habs offense is also much better than the Leafs'.

depends on how Gustavsson plays (hopefully on saturday) then the only difference may be between defense and offense... and the offense gap will be closed a bit more in a few weeks

Their team defense is miles behind every team in the league though.

the whole team is playing bad though... the skaters are getting better, and we do have more defensive forwards than before.... as the players get more comfortable with each other, things will improve

I'll only believe it when I see it to be honest. On paper you are correct, but I want results.
