If both continue putting up identical point percentages, how will Ryan finish with more points?

Do you really want such a one dimensional player that an entire panel of some of the most knowledgeable names in hockey agree that plays with no intensity leading your team?
I don't think I'd want his half a$$ed effort level rubbing off on young players.

It's interesting that Bobby Ryan is now being described as a complete player. |

Can you count?
If both players continue at their sane 0.82 PPG pace, Kessel only has 25 game remaining to play, while Ryan has 28 games remaining..............Ryan will end up with at least two more points.
Points Per Game my good friend.

You're math is bad.
.82*28 games left = 23pts + 41 current pts = 64 pts to end with for Ryan
.82*25 games left = 21pts + 47 current pts = 68pts to end with for Kessel.

But I did get the math just fine. Check you're work again Dope.
It's hugely entertaining to watch someone be wrong, get called on it, come back and call everyone stupid and still be wrong.
It's epic stupidity at it's finest to call someone wrong and do the math (incorrectly) and call them dumb.

If you can't even spell that properly, you should probably shut your mouth. I could drink a case of beer, and still outsmart you.
You literally can't post a single thought without screwing it up.
Kessel has 47 points playing with bozak and jvr who those two have 79 combined points. -57
Ryan has 39 points playing with Hoffman and zibanejad who have a 57 combined points. +17
So 8 points are separating the two while kessel at this time has more support. If Ryan played with bozak and jvr would the point totals be closer? - jordan456789
And this one.
Compared who Ryan plays with yes bozak is an advantage. He puts up more points. I agree kessel is better but this season it is not by much. I wanted to post numbers because prock insists Ryan is a second line player worth nothing while kessel is a superstar. The points are close while kessel has much better line mates - jordan456789
So, on your way kid, hopefully to school, to pick up some much needed literacy.

Clearly this is a far more complex issue than is suggested by this thread. Kessel is a very good hockey player that never has really connected with Leaf media. Ryan is adored by Sens media and fans. The treatment of Kessel by media and fans is shameful.
Leafs will trade Kessel in 14 weeks. It will bring to an end a really bad chapter in Leaf history. As one of the very few who was not a huge fan of the Kessel and Ryan trades and subsequent resignings, it will be interesting to see if the Sens can avoid the same kind of problems as the Leafs have encountered in regard to failed expectations with Kessel.
In my opinion. It is not Kessel that failed. Rather, the Leaf management and media have failed Kessel. |

I kind of have to agree with you on this. The intense media spot light, coupled with the high expectations of a fan base starved for a return to the Stanley Cup Finals, heaped unobtainable expectations upon Kessels' shoulders, that were not prepared to hold them.
Kessel is not the type of player that can lead a team to a Stanley Cup Finals, he is a part that a team needs, but as you point out the Management has let the team down and most importantly the long starved fans.
The media spotlight in Ottawa is nowhere near as intense as it is in toronto, so I don't see what happened with Kessel happening in Ottawa. Ryan is very comfortable speaking with the media, and is more of a team player than Kessel is, so he is not being singled out for glaring deficiencies in his game as Kessel has been.

Kessel can't lead a top team, where Ryan isn't even that. Ryan can't be a part of one.
Anaheim stopped being a championship team when he arrived. And once he left, in his prime, they returned to the top of the league. I think its partly his lack of intensity. He doesn't really want to win.
Karlsson is a selfish one dimensional player too. A defenseman that floats at the other teams blue line is obviously only about his own stats, not about winning. |

This is just not good enough.
There is no real thought or analysis behind your point of view. You can do so much better. It is better to say nothing. Far below your own standards. Think on it, don't get down on yourself, don't get disappointed. Just put a bit more effort into your responses. |
