You only have to go back a few pages to find enough crap that prock posts, to make him eat his own words.

The reason people don't seem to care as much is because he also misquotes some people... Prock is easy to prove wrong because he states opinion as fact quite a bit, although when he gets into a statistical discussion he is normally prety dead on.

Dopps ont he other hand only continues the conversations he knows he will win. This is why a conversation between them will go something like this:

Dopps - The earth is round
Prock - The earth is flat
Dopps - Well it must be round because the sun revolves around the earth
Prock - No you idiot, the Earth revolves around the sun.. and Earth is capitalized!
Dopps - Oh yea? Well you think the EARTH is FLAT, like you said on March 5, at 2:22pm, hockeybuzz forum number 435322 page 6, line 5, words 17 and 18.. here is the link www.????.com

From my perspective dopps being a mutant and prock getting owned aren't mutually exclusive. I like to sit back and watch the chaos...

you still have to dig through pages and pages within each thread(that you have to look through pages of threads to find) to get the quotes.

As soon as someone is confronted with his own words and can't advance his current arguments, he has no other recourse but to change direction and insulting the person who he failed to match wits with, is the usual "default" tactic and is easily seen by knowledgeable posters as a de facto surrendering of their position.

I don't know whether to be happy or upset, about you pointing this out, but I'll suspend my usual banishment command to the Kings thread!

You know you've pointed out that Prock was majorly wrong about a lot of issues (which he was), but that's not really a victory of wit.

For example, if I were to claim that the Sun will not rise tomorrow (and you claimed otherwise), and you were to shove that claim in my face tomorrow when it does in fact rise, you would not have 'outwitted' me. I would be wrong and you would be right, but it would have little to do with wit. However, I applaud you on your ability and willingness to remind Prock of his inaccurate predictions, and salute you on being right, if not necessarily more witty.

It's not like I'm on a crusade to prove he's a homer, or anti anything Senator or whatever, everyone knows what he is. The point has been made by spatso, that went he temporally takes off his troll hat, he has a great knowledge of the leafs prospects and their drafts ect. But he just can't kick his bad habits of bashing Senator or Montreal players for no other reason than to stir up the pot and feed his trollish appetite. You've read his inaccurate claims and predictions, and instead of softening his stance when given more information from other posters or results in the standings, he just ratchets it up a few more notches and doubles down (miles and miles ahead). Why would he do this, other than to piss others off. So my response is to fight fire with fire, and fighting his fire with his own fire is all to easy to do.

We've had some mature exchanges in the past when he's pointed out a mistake or two that I've made, and I've thanked him for that. Or when we've agreed on certain issues...........yes it's happened, not often though.
