No. I would take anyone scoring 34 actual points over someone scoring at a 34 point pace. Wouldn't you? Again, not arguing about potential, just saying right now MPS has shown more.
In the same way you'd probably take Bozak's 32 points over Omark's "on-pace" total of 43. Because it simply makes MUCH MUCH more sense. - Morris
But MPS only got ice time by default, take a look at kadris numbers after his second call up. And lets get real Kadri played with kessel for one game, and not even a full game. |

FYI I would take MPS over Kadri right now. Also, I wouldnt take O'mark on my team at all. |

I'm not sure what you mean by MPS getting ice time by default. What does Kadri not getting a shot in Toronto have to do with how MPS used his ice time?
I was looking for that line combinations site and I couldn't find it, so I couldn't get a purely statistical reading, but I'll tell you that neither player really played with that great linemates for the majority of their seasons. |

Have I been arguing anything other than this one point?
And I don't care what you'd do with Omark. He fills a niche on the Oilers right now, and temporary or not, he's doing serviceably. |

It means that on any other team in the league MPS would of been in the AHL. |

Cool story. Not exactly true though. He put up a respectable number of points for a rookie season, and could have made a fair number of rosters.
Am I supposed to damn MPS because the Oilers aren't that deep of a team? He went out and had an NHL calibre season. Am I supposed to regard Kadri more highly because he stuck with the Leafs for 30 games? He proved that he could be an NHL regular this year.
Who knows, he probably would have played more games if he was on the Oilers. He might have kept up his scoring pace if he had played 80 games for the leafs. That kind of speculation isn't strong enough evidence for me to favour Kadri at this time. |

Kadri>Omark, but Omark is doing more than fine for a 4th round pick. He's certainly not a POS |

No need to be touchy. With a little development Kadri might one day be as good as Omark. |
