Not mad at all. I know one team from the province will probably be mathematically eliminated before the allstar break. Why you changing the subject?

You say the Leafs aren't as good as I think? Maybe. I don't think the Sens are as good as you think, if you think they're in the same tier as the Leafs. The Sens are in the same tier as the Marlies. Good for an AHL team. Absolute horsecrap, terrible, junk, for an NHL team.

Meh, The Sens have played way over their heads for a good portion of the season, and the Leafs played well under their capabilities for the last couple of months. Congrats to you.

Do you wonder how that works out long term though? When that roster hits the injuries that they normally do, with so many OLD, injury prone players (guys that miraculously stayed healthy this year), where does that leave the team?

Absolutely everything goes right for the Sens this year, and they end up barely making the playoffs. You must be so proud.

The Sens played way below their heads for a good portion of last season, for number of reasons (posted before) including the coaching, injuries ect.

And the Leafs played well above their capabilities for the first couple of months. Too bad for you.

These same Sens have rounded back into form under a new coaching system, and are also benefiting from less injuries to key players as they did last season.

Absolutely everything went wrong for the Sens last year, and they ended up out of the playoffs.

Actually, the Leafs played over their heads for 1 month, then were pretty much .500 until the all star break. After that, worse record in the league. (yes even worse than the habs)

You keep avoiding it. You think I'm overrating the Leafs. At least they belong in the NHL. The Sens? Not so much.

Admit it, they're not in the same tier
, like you tried to state.

- prock

I admit it. The Sens belong in the "tier" that make the playoffs, and the leafs will be in the lottery, and perhaps in it (low enough) to win the lottery and move up four spots, and perhaps select within the top three at the Entry draft.

What about the past 7 years makes you think this?

I think Habs fans should be the last to talk. Terrible team. Scarce on decent youth. Terrible farm. Horrible prospect base.

Even under JFJ, the Leafs never came close to being such an abyssmal franchise, as a whole, as the Habs are right now. They're basically an expansion franchise right now, except worse, because an expansion franchise wouldn't have the terrible liability contracts like Gomez et al.

Thanks for your input. I will make sure to make note of it and get back to you next season when the leafs still (frank)ing suck for yet another year.

But seriously prock. With that vast hockey knoledge that you display on here on a daily basis, I am really curious to know what the problem is with your poopty leafs and what makes you believe they are so ahead of every other team in the northeast.

I love how you try to change it to every team in the northeast. I said the Habs. You're changing it to every team because you have no response.

You talk a lot about how the sens are no good and how the habs blow, and yet, of the 3 teams, the leafs are far and away the worst team since the lockout... would love to hear from you how that is even possible considering their great depth and farm team loaded with talent.

Haha. Change the subject again. Answer these 3 questions.

RIGHT NOW,

Who has the worst team?

Who's farm is the worst?

Worst prospects?

What prospects the leafs have that are so great?
top 3 scorers on the marlies are career AHLers.

Now, for once, stop talking poop about the other teams and tell us why the leafs fi.ished twice in the bottom 10 and twice in the bottom 5 in the last 4 years if they are so (frank)ing good.

Take your time, I am going to bed and qill read your pathetic deflection tomorrow morning.

The habs dont drive me nuts because I know they iced a pathetic defense and a terrible bottom 6 this year. Coupled with Gomez being so poopty that he makes my head spin.

Now, look at the leafs and tell me why the leafs suck so much and why next year will be much better. Because I just don't see it.

Next year will be better because they might start sucking from day 1 and get the 1st overall draft pick.

Seriously, debating on who's the pooptiest team between habs and Leafs is like debating about who's poop stinks the most.

I would suggest that the Leafs AHL team is a reflection on who may have a better group of prospects (at all positions) if you are comparing the three Canadian teams in the East.

May I remind you that the Hamilton Bulldogs won the Calder Cup not long ago...
Having a good AHl team doesn't mean much of anything, especially when the best players on said team are career AHLers.

Your logic is that because the Sens had five more regulation wins (this season) than the Leafs therefore the Sens, their talent pool, their prospects, the hot dogs at Scotiabank place are all better than anything connected with the Leafs.

I tend to disagree. As far as the two NHL teams go, the Leafs were ahead last season, and if the Leafs had NHL goaltending from the beginning of the season, perhaps they would have had a few more wins than the Sens.

However, there is no disputing that Toronto has the better AHL team, and therefore the "prospects" in the Leafs system are doing better than the Sens "prospects" at the AHL level. To say otherwise is plain ridiculous.

All that being said, between now and the beginning of the next season could see a lot of changes on both clubs. The Leafs should draft a good prospect at (currently) the fifth position............or could make some trades, as could the Sens. Then there is the UFA season, and either team could make significant moves.

But as of right now, only the Leafs have players in their system who are still playing meaningful hockey games, while the Sens do not. So to argue that Sens prospects are better than the prospects in the Leaf system just does not hold any water outside of Ottawa.
