Yeah but casuals like me have never watched Korean poop before so it slaps hard.

So this type of plot line is pretty typical for Korean shows?

lol I said something similar to my boys in a group chat but you forgot to mention that they should watch in Korean with subtitles. Netflix has it start on the poopty ass dubbed version when you first watch

theres a whole social dynamic thats lost to us in the west but on its face value, i liked it. Go back and watch parasite. Gives a new perspective

Yeah. I'm not sure if Parasite started it or just popularized it to the point it helped create the wave, but a lot of Korean produced TV/film right now focuses on the wage gap, capitalism, disparity, etc. A lot of "look what the rich can do to the poor and the poor have to take it" stuff.

There's more to the social dynamics at play that you lose when you're not part of the culture, and I've read up on some of it but don't totally know how to convey it.
