So I was reading up on Fantastic Four and why its so bad and it totally makes sense. I guess they had an original cut that was all sci-fi horror ish, which you can see from the scenes where you learn they have powers and the way that Doom just explodes peoples heads, but that Fox went "make it more like the Avengers. Get it goofy!" and the did a ton of reshoots.

It makes sense because the pacing and editing feels so wrong, and you can even tell because Sue Storm changes hair styles from one scene or set piece to the next and I guess its because Kate Mara, who is gorgeous and I'm gonna (frank), had to wear a wig because she cut her hair.

ive been guilty a few times but my go-to hat if i wear one is a beat up old dark-gray phillies hat, so its not quite as ridic as like a bright red phils hat with a green eagles jersey or something.

Finale was great. Vince Vaughn getting poop all over on Twitter and such and I thought he was badass.

The characters were really cool, dark and tourtured but that's the vibe of this show.

Some really unique and creative shooting.

My only gripe was the plot was overly ambitious for 8 episodes IMO. I can understand why people found it confusing.

loved Vaughn as well. I posted in another realm so i will paraphrase. I still think PizzaCoffee is a fraud. He has great ideas and then is incapable of executing them in the end.

Too many characters, too many factions

When the chief was revealed in the tunnel and the corrupt cop was revealed when he killed one dude i had no idea who they even were

Lots of other moments that should have felt like huge payoffs were diluted because of, like you said, the way overly ambitious plot.

There were like 3 major plotlines between the (frank)ing orphans and the land deal and the russians/armenians/mexicans that just seemed forced together

VV and CF were the best. Vince killed it. I think people have inheritely cynical and overly critical for no good reason except hearing themselves.

i feel like once there are 5-6 seasons done..or even a few years after the show is totally done, people will learn to appreciate alot of aspects from this season instead of "omg season 1 was sooooooo much better"

sort of like the wire. I'm sure people were way down on season 2 when it first came out.


in the end, my main takeaway from this season, like you said, will be some cool, memorable characters and some neat scenes. really dug the use redwood trees, and frank in the desert like you said

It's getting so much hate on Twitter. don't get it.

It was overly ambitious but I think I got less lost than most because I binged it all within a week.

And I liked Friday night lights motorcycle cop as much as Vince, his wife and farel. Rachel was just a notch below. I thought the mayor of Vinci was just a tad too sleezy drunk but whatever
