Lord of the Rings is so (frank)ing cool

I think the big thing that separates The Hobbit and LOTR besides one being overstuffed like bad ravioli and the other being so (frank)ing cool holy (frank) is that you get way more world/universe building in LOTR while The Hobbit seems as if it expects you to know everything

Also I think Tom Bombadil is like some weird ass Maiar guy

He's the only person besides Sauron and the Ring Wraiths who can see Frodo when he wears the ring, he also had no effect when he slipped the ring on briefly, fought off zombies like nothing and acts all weird when asked about the Ring Wraiths like they're his poopty younger brothers that he doesn't want people to know are related to him.

I wish there was more on the Easterlings and the Haradrim.

I'm thinking about later on in ROTK about the Army of the Dead and wonder if there are tons of ghosts walking around Middle Earth. Tons of dudes must have broken oaths over the millenia and I wonder if they made like a nomadic ghost tribe and are roaming around spooking people or searching for a dude that can release them.
