They are mostly pretty good. Surprisingly wasn't a huge fan of the Morricone score in the hateful eight though.

New Vegas is infinitely better. Way more interesting missions with decisions that actually matter somewhat

the more games I play with decision making the more I feel none of them actually do.

the last one that did was probably Dragon Age: Origins, but a lot of those decisions got undone by future iterations in the series.

Even Telltale games and something like D4 is just putting different lipstick on the same story. Some are better at hiding the simplicity of it all, but most aren't anymore. TWD S1 was fantastic but then you can play S2 and its like nothing happened at all. S3 of TWD is a (frank)ing garbage heap.

Apparently the Batman TT games have been pretty good in terms of reactivity.

Ya im starting to want story rich games with set stories where you're just along for the ride these days. You can't add meaningful choices without cheesing the story it seems so the choices usually end up being minor or just totally meaningless in the end like you said and then I just get annoyed
