i knew the ending before i even finished the movie. knowing what would happen actually made it slightly less poop because i was looking forward to seeing them all die.

they also sent me a patch (i guess you were supposed to sew it on your denim jacket or something) that said "revenge of the jedi" before they changed the name to "return of the jedi" ((frank) ewoks, btw) so that's probably a collectors item and worth like $3.

i thought tfa was alright when i saw it originally but after giving it some thought and realizing it was just a complete reskin of the older movies it became ._.. i'm not even going to watch the new one. maybe i'll pirate it.

rogue one really is a complete pile of irredeemable trash though. just horrible character writing, it's impossible to give a poop about any of them so when they all die it's just one big "oh ok" moment with no emotional impact. it 100% relies on cute little universe references and nostalgia. it has nothing going on for it otherwise. prime example of what i don't like about hollywood's current sequel/reboot fetish.

They're going to leave the future of a main character up in the air too and start the 3rd movie with a (frank)ing rescue mission.

3rd movie will also feature Kylo Ren having a last-minute change of heart and ultimately becoming the real hero of the trilogy.
