i was digging how slow and deliberate things were at the start, but its kinda just draining to me. i can appreciate it and understand why it is how it is, but it just takes so much time for something to happen.

he's kind of become obsessed with teasing his audience. he's convinced that having everyone constantly hoping for a major reveal without actually delivering is the way to go. this all goes back to when he was pressured into revealing laura's killer in the original series. it's been bothering him ever since, and from what i understand he didn't even plan on revealing who did it originally.

i really liked how each scene was kind of its own thing and i just enjoyed the ride. i was really satisfied with it by the end. it was on my mind for days after the last episode aired.

the first two seasons were like 90% story and goofy likable characters and like 10% weird lynch and frost stuff. this is pretty much the opposite.

yeah the endearing weirdness is kinda way in the background and on the sides. and like i said, i "get" it and can appreciate it while not exactly finding it entertaining.

i knew about the things about Laura's killer, but it was one of the absolute best moments from the original series. that scene in the holding cell was amazing.

and yeah about what he does to the audience. its pretty obvious by how S2 ends where people just die and aren't seen again without any kind of a "did you hear that the bank blew up" kind of scene

i just feel he's gone way overboard. you can really tell he has been jerking off to these ideas for 25 years but isn't planning on cumming
