i wasn't even sure i liked it when i saw it for the first time. i thought it was interesting but it seemed like a mess. i kept thinking about it for quite a while after seeing it though and eventually i watched it again and i loved it.

i believe kaufman's intention was to make a movie that is sort of like a theatre play in that each viewing has to potential to be different. you will notice new things every time. it's also one of the most moving films i've seen.

it gets a very rare / from me

Rewatched Zodiac



Such a weird mix of shifting tones from funny to creepy to dramatic. Sometimes its frustrating but undeniably entertaining throughout. Such a good cast

Started Godless last night and went on a 4 episodes sequence.
Good, realistic acting, good photography, great slow pace.

Jeff Daniels does a good job at the bad boss but I think that a less known actor would have been more scarier. Nothing against his acting, it's just that my brain can't completely forget the Dumb and Dumber guy.
