I feel the need to say that as disappointing as Annihilation the movie was due to being nothing like the book, there is a 20 minute song on the soundtrack that is awesome and that we played on a loop while reading.

its pretty good so far. it reminds me a bit of tarkovskys stalker. i will finish it soon.

i can already see why it flopped though. really bad production values and really poor attempts at having any emotional impact. the music doesn't fit well with the scenes either even if it's pretty good on its own.

i can accept this. i would definitely have strangelove over fmj and clockwork though. significantly better movie to me.

in rl it takes me a minimum of 7 years to even considering picking up a book someone recommends to me so i know this is insane to ask over the internet, but I would love for you to try annihilation the book to have the reverse experience and provide your thoughts
