im not done yet but the highwaymen is deliciously 80s/90s in feel

probably not really that good of a movie but it hits the spot for me. i would recommend it so far

After trying The Show a few minutes I can already say I like it better than NHL.

For real? Since I don't know the players anymore I would not care about 16 or 17 or 18. I just had a new obsession of getting a baseball game after getting pissed at NHL for the 62nd consecutive game. I'm done with NHL - or simply will just stick to nostalgic fun with 97, 03, etc.

Purchased MVP 2003 and 2004 thinking I could play the last Expos teams but it's weird how neither of them really show them as the dominant team they had at the time. And both games just suck so I went for The Show 18.

Another sign from God against playing the Expos was todays' news about former Expos reliever John Wetteland accused of pedophilia. Nostalgic buzz 100% ruined.

You could play in a prospect tournament to help determine your draft ranking and then you'd play up from AA and the reasons you would get demoted/held back/position changed/etc. weren't entire BS.

Those were also the last years that they allowed you to 100 every skill if you grinded enough to raise those skills. They switched after that to certain caps on your skills so you can't hit 40 bombs and swipe 40 bags.

One of the designers was quoted as saying "there's only one mike trout or clayton kershaw so we wanted to keep the player experience realistic"

like isn't part of the Road to the Show the fantasy of it? They disagreed apparently.

I won't buy another game until they switch it back or they include a proper create-a-team mode.

the show is so much better than the nhl games it's not even funny.

18 even has a classic mode that's basically ken griffey jr baseball from SNES (the first one)
