I think Titanfall and TES are going to ruin gaming, or at least take the pay models to a whole new level of (frank)ed. It's half a game that costs full price. I 100% guarantee that if TF & TES Online do well on consoles, you'll be seeing MP only games on the Xbox One & PS4 as early as next year that cost you $60 for the disc, $15/month to play and that's on top of the $60/year you're already paying for XBL & PSP. poop, forgot about DLC & microtransactions...

There is a currency you can buy with real money, but you can also buy the real money currency with gold made in game, meaning you don't have to spend a dime after original purchase. The stuff you buy with real money doesn't make paying players overpowered as most items are just for looks. Some (like crafting boosters and XP gain boosters) make things easier, ie requiring less time. So their real money system allows the player to determine if buying stuff for real money outweighs the time input to acquire the same items by playing only.

Other games fail at this. World of Tanks comes to mind.

And one of the most successful games of all time, WoW, is a sub-based game and you have to purchase DLC etc. It doesn't seem to effect gaming whatsoever.

Its new to consoles and on PC you're not paying another 60 bucks annually to use the internet you're already paying for.

Its also not 60 bucks to download WOW and then you add a subscription. Its a free download and you only pay the subscription.

it's a pc mmo game.

very good, great graphics for an mmo and has been keeping my attention since it came out in august 2012. it has some crazy world events, lots of lore and back story, dungeons to run and general mayhem to enjoy

quite frankly, it is an awesome game but tbh it is not something you would enjoy.

come to think of it, i doubt anyone who posts here would like it with exception of tao, who i would've never guessed played it.

btw, tao...you excited for the upcoming story update? i am trying to keep my expectations in check, but i can't help to think of lion's arch getting totally ransacked and how potentially great that might be. i may be one of the few who dig the scarlett story.
