Agreed. I made a trade offer to Dallas. Doubt it will get accepted. Will have to wait till the next section to find out.

Also we should shorten the section times. One week to play 5-6 games is too long.

EASHL RATINGS TEST UPDATE

H00ver and I completed some tests. Here are the results:

TEST #1 WEIGHT

Summary of procedure: Testing to see if weight made a difference in speed or acceleration in a series of races. Height was set at 6'0" for both skaters. Speed and Acceleration were set at 80 for both skaters. Skater #1 weight was set at 120 lbs (lowest allowed) and Skater #2 weight was set at 275lbs (highest allowed).

Test Results: After 7 races, it was concluded that the weight of a player has no effect on speed or acceleration as 5 of the 7 races were dead heats. The 2 variables were due to slightly early jumps, but it was noticed that the early player never gained nor lost the gap he gained by jumping the gun.

TEST #2 HEIGHT

Summary of procedure: Testing to see if height made a difference in speed or acceleration in a series of races. Weight was set at 190lbs for both skaters. Speed and Acceleration were set at 80 for both skaters. Skater #1 height was set at 5'7" (lowest allowed) and Skater #2 height was set at 6'9" (highest allowed).

Test Results: After 7 races, it was concluded that the height of a player has a small effect on speed or acceleration as all of the 7 races were won by the shorter player slightly. It was noticed that the shorter player never gained nor lost the gap he gained once the physics shifted from the acceleration to top speed meaning that once the skaters reached their top speed, the slight advantage of the shorter skater no longer applied.


TEST #3 SPD vs ACC

Summary of procedure: Testing to see if speed or acceleration was the dominate attribute. Height was set at 6'0" and weight was set at 190 lbs. for both skaters. Skater #1 Speed and Acceleration was set at 82 acceleration and 70 speed. Skater #2 Speed and Acceleration was set at 70 acceleration and 82 speed.

Test Results: After 7 races, it was concluded that the speed of a player is more important than acceleration. The testers noticed that the slight advantage gained by higher acceleration was quickly overtaken by the faster player.

CONCLUSIONS:

It is my opinion that a shorter player will be at an advantage over a larger player but slightly. It is recommended that all members of W0fnud and its affiliates place speed as a priority to acceleration. If the player has to decide between any other athletic attribute and acceleration, this panel recommends the other attribute.

Just wondering if Strengh also factors in. In previous seasons, Strengh was a multiplyer for other attributes... I think speed was also affeted by this.
