dan. i am looking at going back to school.

as you know, in quebec we have to do cegep to get into university. however, you can apply as a mature student without a DEC at most universities at the age of 21 and if you meet the conditions (i do). except for mcgill university. 23 and older.

how stupid is that poop?

so now i am debating something.

go to cegep and do my 2-3 years there then go to mcgill for 4 years which brings me to age (26-27).

or work some minimum wage job for 2 years, then apply as a mature student at mcgill. still brings me to age 26 ish but i'll have more money and no dec which shouldn't matter because it's a bogus degree.

and yes i know i should have just stayed in cegep the first time around 3 years ago. could have been in uni by now. that poop is done though, too late to cry over spilled milk.

in all honesty, bite the bullet and go back to cegep, then do a full university program.

cegep is a (frank)ing waste of time I agree but it's unfortunately a necessary one. If you can do the science program I'd advise that as well over humanities.

you can work a poop job in the meantime but you gain nothing with that and you can do that while going to cegep anyway. The thing with cegep is that it's (frank)ing easy and most people who don't do well there usually don't do well becasue it's so demotivating.

jsut take some more interesting electives. I took some anthropology classes while I was there just becasue it's somewhat interesting to me so you just have to find some classes like that and make the best of it.

that's likely what i'll do. i also took some bad classes the first time around. i have 1 of 3 english courses completed and 1 or 2 french courses completed. so it won't be the end of the world.

but yeah i'll probs just end up going back. not sure which cegep yet though. didn't like dawson. might check out john abbott.
