you need to find that comfort zone.


I would exclusively use this


in either yellow or cream color so as not to mix it up with the standard white papers the prof would hand out.

(crims, just tor reassure you, I only started using the graph paper after I finished school)

I would also use medium tipped felt pens for maxXx contact with the sheet of paper.

take your notes on only one side of the sheet, use one pad per course and do not allow the pad to suffer abuse to the point where the sheets separate.

If you need to draw a chart or an actual graph, make sure to be very clear as to what notes belong with it.

I did this too, but i also made my notes in outline form.

I. Topic of the class (date)
A. Prof 1st point
1. blah
2. blah
3. blah
B. 2nd point
...

Then I would read the assignment and list the page numbers with each point. My notes were often self generated exam keys.
