one was a slap shot and the other was a dump-in. lost the (frank)ing game too. 4-2.

also, members of tW...i figured out what was wrong with my player, it was my controller. it was not registering all the way up on the left stick. it explains a lot. my lack of scoring and my guy not skating. i will perform surgery on the controller later today. thank you for your time.

i am looking at john abbott for school. it has 2 benefits: it's only a 20 minute drive from my place and it's not downtown. (i don't love being downtown)

plus i could take a course that's about a year long and learn real skills to get a job. that said, it's not a pre-university thing so it'd be back to square one in looking for a job afterwards but now with skills. and i can maybe get it funded by emploi quebec.

maybe. so maybe there is hope for me after all. maybe not though. who knows.

Some courses or even programs can be credited in university. My course + experience gave me almost half a Bachelor credited... ( technical courses of course... not the methodologie etc etc)

and also what about qualifications. i know for web dev it's more about your portfolio than where you went to school. what about IT?

don't worry about landing a job apples. if you do something and enjoy you will do it well, be passionate about it and this will be more helpful in the terms of you enjoying your life.

if you end up planning your studies only in terms of potential outcome you will end up in an office, looking out the window all day wondering how you can get out of it but they pay you well enough that you're a prisoner to it and instead try to redo that part of your life through some young kid on the internet who clearly has the smarts to accomplish great things but has dubious patterns of motivation.

I have been clear before about web dev... I wouldn't recommend it to you... if you are going to pay for school ( or someone to pay for you) go get some more technical stuff compared to some stuff that my dead granpa can learn with basic tutorials.

Like I posted.. I think you have a better chance of landing a stable career in IT... I'd go take the IT course AND learn the web stuff on the side. I know you are geek enough to sit down, find tutorials and softwares and learn how to do web stuff. IT stuff is more technical and you are better off with a diploma.

At the end of the day.. do what you like or think you would like to do.

IT guys ALWAYS find jobs.

And nothing stops you from doing this.. getting a job and then going to U while making a decent living while studying web design or other types of design.
