Krebs has not shown much promise to be an offensively strong forward at any point in his NHL career. At 23 and 215 NHL games, he's a depth forwards at best. |

Or your Stafford infection never needed a Kalinin after a bad Paille?

You're talking about crabs, lol!
In German, krebs translates to cancer. Unfortunately.
Good post Brad, appreciate your columns. |

Great Blog. Nice to see someone covering the Sabres with some excitement, eagerness, and a demand that others approach this team (and perhaps the game at large) with a sense of fun.
I’m not a Sabres guy, but they’re one of those teams I like as a side piece lol, and for awhile everything was so downer (in their coverage) that it was exhausting. This vibe is a breath of fresh air.
Reasons for positivity:
Tage bouncing back
Levi taking the next big step
Cozens staying healthy and continuing to grow as a leader
Tuch bouncing back and remaining the best piece in the SS Eichel Deal
Power, Samuelson, Byram, and Dahlin forming a high octane, high output, teeth shattering Corps 4
Matt Savoie emerging as a…oh, well, scratch that one lol…. |

Yeah I had some hope for him. He made some nice passes to girgensons and Okposo and they would flub on the shot or chance.
But last year. He looked lost. Speed of the game overwhelms him |

Why should anyone approach this team with a sense of fun? Lol
Aside from the 22-23 season where a bunch of career years allowed them to flirt with the last wildcard spot a few times there is nothing remotely fun or interesting about them. For 13 years
Adams is probably the worst GM in sabres history and doesn't seem to face any accountability for his inability to make the roster better |

22pts in 48 games for us his rookie year. A 38pt pace, or 8pts better than our savior, Zachary Benson's totals.
I'd say we ruined him, if anything. Talent was and is there. |

My only true optimism for this team is if Ruff fixes a lot of bad coaching from Donny.
Fix Tuch, Tage, and Cozens games. They all regressed big time.
Fix the power play
Then hold players accountable. Especially in the defensive zone.
Positives: I really like the bottom 6 revamp. Last year our bottom 2 lines got crushed.
I have hope for this roster. I’m stating the obvious here but we still need a top 6 forward to balance out the lines

it's a roster built to compete for the 8th seed, not to compete for a cup
slow playing this makes perfect sense when Dahlin is in his prime, you got 2 years left with Tuch as a value contract, Peterka and Quinn are on entry deals, and Byram is under 5 mil
they bought out skinner and replaced him with zucker |

He actually had 22 in 57 games played.. which is worse production than what Benson put up. Why leave out his first nine games of the year where he failed to put up a pt? Could it be it does not fit your narrative?
Krebs was also 2 years older and had already played professional hockey. |
