Thanks for the re-cap and the descriptive language! Most of the goals sound like the chemistry came quickly and were team effort rather then individual greatness. Good to see that as none of these guys were touted as "great", but as a collective they came together. I mean, look at the defense and the majority of them are not known to very many of us! It looked like an obvious weakness! Kudos to the coaches and these kids to display some cohesiveness and WIN!

H2, it was a breath of fresh air! From the start you could see Danielson and Lombardi trying like crazy to make plays. Then, and this is why we love the game, it’s like that first goal gave them permission to relax and play out there. No relax in effort, but stop overthinking. Ken Kal and Bob Kaser just get me so pumped when they’re enjoying the game. Then to hear that group of fans get into it all the pieces came together. It’s a tough and long off season. This was a nice boost!

Seemed like the Wings prospects had a bigger team overall and they played more physical. Aside from Lombardi, Danielson, Nygard, Buium and other drafted prospect, one that stood out a bit from the invites was defenseman Marcus Kearsey. Not the biggest guy at 5'11, 176 pounds but he seemed like a good skater and a smart defenseman in good position all the time. Knows when to back off or when to pinch or close the gap quick to break up plays. Wings should keep an eye on him this season and possibly offer him a contract. Only thing is he is a LD but still might be worth a look.

Seems Kearsey is a leader and gives back to the community as well.

I didn't know anything at all about him before this game but i did notice his play during the game early. To be honest, i noticed him more than Buium and thought he was probably the best defenseman for the Wings in this game. Nice to know he's good on and off the ice. Might be worth a contract from the Wings for him to play in GR next season.

He would only be 19 in 2025, would the Q have his rights for 1 more year?

I love the take. This group had me name chasing a lot more than I thought. It’s a shame we’re down to 2 games but some pleasant surprises. Thank you so much for dropping that in and let’s see what today brings. I’m more anxious to see some of these kids play against the big club and in pre season

Thanks for the write-up as I missed the game yesterday.

Is todays game being broadcast anywhere?

I don't think so, i think he should be able to play AHL next year. He was available to be drafted this summer so this season would be his D+1 season which should make him available to play in the AHL if he was drafted. Not being drafted should not change that. I think the CHL rule only stops players from playing in the AHL for 1 season after they are drafted.

Yeah, it's one thing to look good against other young prospects and invites but completely different to do it against NHL or pro players.

There is an age limitation as well, most players pass through that to play in the AHL. Shane Wright had to get a special exemption to play in the AHL as his B-day was 2 days beyond the age restriction. It seems like if one is eligible to be drafted the year before that the cut-off date should be the same as the draft eligibility date.........🤔
