I wasn't expecting the Leafs to get 88. That's pretty high. Is 100 the max?
Noticed Perfetti signed a 2-year deal. Wondering if that's part of a sign and trade with Ehlers to get Suzuki? Like this way Montreal knows he's signed so maybe talks intensify... |

Where is the Team Chokes meter? It should be weighted at 3x all other factors combined and have a scaled of 1-100, with the Laughs gage pointing at 200.

Oh, then 88 isn't so high if 121 is the max. I wonder if Cup champs Florida will be 121? Maybe not since the Market Pressure meter reading would be lower than a market like Toronto. Unless the Ek factor has a multiplier effect to offset this.

Imagine being a Sabres fan and squawking about a team choking. The Sabres start choking in October.

Jeremy Swayman should sign either 4 years @7.5M or 8 years @8.5M
Igor Shesterkin will make 11M+ ....making rangers have to move some pieces next summer |

Playoff Droughts
Buffalo - 13 years since 2011
Detroit - 8 years since 2016 (this one surprises me most outside OTT)
Ottawa - 7 years since 2017
Anaheim - 6 years since 2018
San Jose - 5 years since 2019
Out of these teams, Detroit you have to say has the best chance to end the drought - I would say Ottawa with the talent and young core they have but the disappointment and little return for the pieces they brought in (DeBrincat, Chychrun, Korpisalo) has made me pessimistic. If Ullmark has a Vezina type season, that could be enough to get them in |

I estimate the Hockeybuzz Hockey Meter score for Detroit will be about 72. Which won't be good enough to make the playoffs.
