Would be nice if a GM was dumb enough to claim Holl but that seems like a pipe dream. Nobody will claim him and he can just be called up if they get injuries and need him.

They probably could do the same with Husso but he played well in pre-season. Maybe a team would claim him since he only has a year left but not many teams have the cap space and need for a goalie.

Ghost would have cost too much to retain, Walman was also a cap dump.....but I betcha Y offered Holl to SJ with a 2nd, and Greer said, "no dice!" So Walman was scarified. I do agree that it is bad cap management. And right now, this team has not improved over last year's squad. But, we shall soon see. I would hope there is a trade soon for another RD. I wanna give it 10 games before I get my dander up.

Oh, and Gus had good chemistry with Kane and Cat in Chicago.

Bultman is saying it looks like Watson will get a deal. Not to be on the negative, I think Kasper will be up soon and not easily sent back. We have some fragile players. I loved Kasper, and it’s clear Danielson needs some more strength. Kasper took the preseason seriously and it will be a good day when he gets the call up. The only thing I’ve “heard” outside of that is the possibility of a forward being in play but it’s not anything that feels set in stone.

The Holl signing was suspect, for sure. Glad that experiment seems to have come to and end.....and I believe we get to recoup around $1.3m of his bloated salary (someone let me know if I'm on crack.....).

Interesting that Kasper went down, but not surprising. He was heads-n-shoulders above the rest of the kids, and most of the vets. Camp & pre-season weren't overly promising toward the end especially. Watson gives us the grit that we miss, to a degree, Motte was a decent player, but we need someone to get nasty. I'd think, depending on the injury/need of course, that Kasper's going to be the 1st or 2d on the list to be called up....and I really believe he'd stay, kid's got it and is ready. Danielson looked good. MBN going back to Sweden is a bit unusual, I thought )as did many others) that he would stay in NA....unless they wanna bring him & ASP over together, MBN & ASP.....anyone else over there with 3 initials we can pull over?!?!?!

It's finally here, the season's truly kicking off, excited as usual. Watched the first few episodes of the Prime series "Faceoff...." Think we have a winner. GREAT series. If you get a chance, I'd say watch, really interesting.

YEP. That one is one of 2 that we all (I'd say) just thought "Uhm.....k?" Not a sensible move, but hopefully the end is here for this one.
