great game, very entertaining to watch, and a nice way to start the season!

the only downside during the opening ceremony for me was that damn Coldplay song again, I really wish they'd move on from that, jfc.

l'intro de Luc Picard était excellente.

really interesting story I've heard this morning about Slafkovsky, apparently he's a rockstar in Slovakia and can barely go out in public without having a bunch of people after him, however he recently criticized the Slovakian hockey federation about the flagrant nepotism going on there, saying that things needed to change, and that if the best players would've been available in 2022 Slovakia probably wouldn't have won the bronze medal.

of course the federation replied saying Slafkofsky's take is wrong, and journalists from Slovak media are now complaining that he's being a douche with them lol.

I guess being hassled all time time since you're 14 years old makes you a little bit bitter.

What a great game.

Montembeault sure looked like a #1 out there.

Even Mashadar is almost convinced, maybe.

The game report is as vanilla as it gets.....

One club is supposedly in the mix for the Cup, and the other is trying to crawl out from bottom ten.....the statistics clearly show which is which.

One must love the play of Monty....but the D will need to be much better, eh

Full marks to Montambeault for playing very well.
Also a slick pass by Slavkosky to Caulfield for the goal. Obviously a talented player.
However I do think being outshot 48-27 is not a long term recipe for success....

same thing could be said about not scoring any goals during a game...
