Thanks NYN.
Appreciate the write up.
Glad that hockey is back.
Can’t say I paid attention to the whole game, but sure enjoyed the 1st and the last minute heroics from JTM.
I think I heard Hughes is now 2nd all time for Dmen scoring and will likely pass Edler for 1st OA this year which is noteworthy imo.

I watched the entire game and flames just kept plugging away…
Vladar made key saves at the right times to stump any more Mo for the Nucks…after a shaky start he was nails.
Hughes sure - but not sold on the rest of that D / |

Thanks Newbury.
October hockey can be quite challenging for coaches.
Lots of video work for the players on missed assignments.
Silovs now has a book on him on long shots that he needs to work on. He’s had better games.
It’s a lot of new guys being integrated. While we saw some good there was a lot that can be easily corrected. Canucks need to get used to being a measuring stick team now. |

It’s funny how the Canucks stopped playing once the refs did.
What was Horonek thinking on that ot winner. |

Fell asleep at 4-3. During that time awake, Pouty, Hronek and Hoglander were not very good, while Hughes, Soucy, Myers, Sherwood and DeBrusk, had been playing solid.

Can you just, like, STFU?
12.5 mil zero points McDavid
14 mil zero points Drai (counting it like every nerd in here did for Petey last year)
87.7 mil zero points for the entire Edmonton lineup |

Do or die game five tomorrow, should be a good one. Hopefully Darvish is starting. Gosh, I love October baseball. How about that grand slam from Lindor, clutch baby!! |

I rekindled my passion for Dodgers Baseball last night. We had both games on at my buddies.
High blocker on Silovs was brutal. He was losing the net a bit as well. Sloppy passing, sloppy coverage.
I doubt Darvish has more than 3 innings in him. Or at least I'm praying. |

I'm out East right now so a 10pm start time for the Canucks is too late for me, plus, it was game 1 of 82, I'm more interested in playoff baseball this time of year. |

You didn't miss much. Some old bad habits reared their heads when they took their foot off the gas.
Baseball really comes to life in October. The regular season is too watered down for fans to be passionate about it. |

It’s funny how fans overreact on game 1 lol |

He needs to get going, it won't get easier for him. - VanHockeyGuy
Agree and it's weird Peteys skating still looks off...
Hopefully not a repeat of last years second half.
Well at least we didn't score in our own net a la' Louie Eriksson on the opener...

Silovs started ok but brutal second half. Vladar started brutal but made key saves later. No way Silovs is ready for the long grind. F'n Goalies man...lol
As long as the Dodgers and Yankees are punted all good. However it would be cool to see a subway series again Mets Yanks. Have to wait and see what the MLB script is... |

Even when they were up, the Nucks looked sloppy, and the puck appeared to be taking extra bounces with passing and stick handling.
This happens, and I am sure they will have a much cleaner game vs the Flyers.
Go Canucks Go!
