Letang is missing from practice. Not really a spot for Pickering unless they want his debut to be on his off-side.
Ponomarov also sitting. Sure, I want Sully to stick around and coach the next generation....
Puljujarvi-O'Connor-Poulin.
I don't get this line. Poulin has been primarily a C in WBS though he's played mainly RW. Pulj is really just a RW. DOC has played almost exclusively on LW. Why not:
DOC-Poulin-Pulj.
Maybe they got the line rush wrong but seems common sense just play everyone at their main position. |

IMO there is a spot for Pickering on his strong side... and its to replace 1 of the worst Dmen in the league, Matt Grzelcyk. Grzelcyk is who we thought he was.... |

They want to see how each player plays out of position potentially to boost their trade value? I know in O'Connor's case Dubas is on the fence with keeping him or trading him (which I honestly find stupid he should be a player we keep). I think if he can show he can be a center option maybe they keep him around even though we have 6-3rd/4th line centers.

Yeah I think we all questioned the signing. I don't know if Dubas and the front office is playing NHL 21 or what. The moves they make just aren't good. |

pens4life have you heard any inside rumors? Or possibly is your team thinking of doing some shopping with the pens? |

You're not wrong about that. But we can't go scratching vets for young players. |

That's interesting.
DOC and Poulin should be fine, they are supposed to have that flexibility even if they might be better at the other spots. Puljujarvi though is not a LW.
They may have a ton of center options, but the vets are mainly short term, and Ponomarov and Poulin probably don't have the same upside as DOC IMO. |

"not satisfied with the play of Jack St. Ivany and Ryan Shea"
^^ this assumption should be replaced w/ reality & start w/ EK, Letang, Grz, & Pettersen. They've all been horrific & their individual RoI is dog-poop.
+ trade Pettersen for something; he brings nothing to the table thats not replaceable.
& fire sully, then dubas. |

Jonah Gadjovich running through everyone New Jersey brought in for team toughness in 48 hrs. Just putting the head down and throwing them. I hope the Panthers just eat teams alive to another cup. |
