Tage will have a break-out season. He is a better skater and scorer than Greenway. All reports are that he has filled out with muscle into a beast. Mitts is worth giving one more season in Rochester. The wild card in the Buffalo depth chart right now is Ruotsalainen. He could push someone out of the top nine. It will be interesting to see if teams can carry extra players to cope with Covid.

Garf-o-pino - how can you be giving up on a premium piece like Tage Thompson? He was part of 4 or five premium pieces of the ROR trade according to you. Top 6 forward, former first-rounder, was how you described Thompson. Do you really think silky mitts mittlestadt will get you a player just selected in the first round? I do not know what is worse, your typos, blog titles, over-evaluation of anything Buffalo, or trade proposals?

That would be a disaster of a trade for Buffalo

Wouldn't be a Garth blog without randomly trying to trade away as much of the team as possible

That trade suggestion is terrible for Buffalo, way better off to hang on to Middlestadt and Thompson and see what happens with them then trade them for a 3rd line winger and a pick that won't be a player for the Sabres for years if it ever amounts to anything.

Really, I think the Sabres' biggest issues in recent years has been their defense and goaltending. If Dahlin has a big year that will go a long way toward turning the team around. If they are going to make any trades it should be for defensemen. However, I am not sure if GMJE will go for that.
