Scott Mayfield also signed for seven years. The signing of Ilya Sorokin was absolutely a no-brainer to lock up their best player for eight years. The head scratcher, was re-signing Semyon Varlamov for four years.
I would disagree about the head scratcher. |

It’s quite possible the only way the Islanders were able to get their best player to sign if he knew varly was a part of the team. |

Seriously.
Two reliable keepers is about the only thing Lou has done right.
Parise can stay unsigned all the way to retirement.
I'd sign Colin White to a cheap show me deal.
Another ex-Sen Austin Watson is also without a deal. He'd be cheap. He can't skate and yet....for some unknown reason is pretty effective on the PK. |

Unless I'm missing something, we're still in the off season and so many more moves to be made. Maybe the talking heads could delay these "ranking's" until the end of summer. lol |

Mike Reilly is likely the second best dman on the Panthers to start the season, and I do mean he’s better than Gudas.
I’m excited to see the revenge tour |

No draft picks. No additions. Overpayed bottom line players to stay for the next decade. Isles easily had the worst offseason. Lou sucks a bag of (Richards) |

The Islanders have had the worst off seasons for years. Lou has been garbage and I hate my family for raising me as a fan |

I’m ok with the off season so far. I’m personally not a huge fan of mayfield contract but I don’t think it’s awful. He was able to get rid of Bailey which is a huge plus and I’m optimistic more move will be coming before the start of the season. |

Please give us your off season deals and plans that should have been done by The Islanders.
Can't wait to read your response if in fact you even respond |

The free agent market is not good this summer and I’m good with them not overpaying for one besides our own.
My hopes is some of the young kids take a big step forward and can be big contributors. Engvall shows he’s worth his contract and maybe they still make a trade for more talent.
I don’t understand the Lou bashing when he is light years better than any gm they’ve had in over 30 years. |

Totally agree. Gotta think Barzal and Horvat will create some magic this year. The kids need to step up. Dobson needs to get back on track. This is a must.
I just wanted to hear from one of the Pissing and Moaning Internet GM's their plan of what should have been done this summer. I'll bet dollars to donuts this guy is one of the bright ones on Twitter saying we should trade Nelson for a scoring winger.
Just some of the bright ideas I have read lately. I guess when it comes to solutions or actual plan of action they go silent, typical really.
Can't make this poop up. |
