Eklund: McGroarty Heading To Pittsburgh?

Pretty fair trade. I suppose Pittsburgh is getting a little more value based on McGroarty being a year older. But they're very similar players honestly. Obviously if one ends up significantly better than the other, this trade could end up looking bad and for one team in the long term.

Pens get a future Top 6 power forward, Jets get a guy who will never be a top 6 NHLer, and is years away from contributing anything but mediocre 5 vs 5 play. Jets had no choice but to sell low.

Will Karlsson, Rakell, and Pettersson give McGroarty a much deserved comeuppance for being such a jackdonkey at the end of the gold medal game against Sweden at the last World Jr's?
