Cover song of the week. A big early hit for April Wine. They were playing it at high school dances, the Kee to Bala and popular bars like The Generator in the late 70's early 80's. Written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin. Remembering all those great shows at the Kee to Bala as we wind down summer.

Go Leafs Go
Hate to say it but I’m willing to bet Pacioretty makes the team. I’ve accepted it if so, and I’m just hoping he routinely scores whenever they play the habs.

it's always nice to see Max at the Bell, should be a good time
As for Pacioretty who knows? Willing to bet the leafs would like to have the experience he brings on the LW but they’re not entirely sure yet. - Dozzer
oh come on, don't tell me there isn't a little something extra special in the air for habs/leafs games, it isn't like any NHL game either...
as for Patches I haven't followed him too closely since he's been gone but I know he's been pretty banged up, so I guess that remains to be seen. I think his agent seemed to imply a contract was imminent, even before he actually went through the PTO lol

I read somewhere today that he had a couple of contract offers from other teams but he chose a PTO from the leafs instead.

you mean he could've officially signed something elsewhere but opted for a try-out in TOR instead..? interesting strategy, it's a choice I guess. - Pat1993
No risk move for the Leafs. He's not the same player he was, rather he's maybe the 12th or 14th forward on this Leafs team. He's certainly not the top six player he was on the Habs or Vegas.

oh I know, but from Pacioretty's perspective, as a banged-up aging veteran logically I would've preferred taking an actual deal, rather than having to prove myself to get one.

Took the boys to the London airshow.
Pretty darn good.
For plane enthusiasts, its definitely a must visit. - Fakepartofme
It’s always pretty damn cool. I’m in the south end of town not the east and I still get to see the planes routinely. Got to see and hear The Snowbirds rip across our neighbourhood while in the kitchen earlier. Got out to my porch and saw them rip back the other way
