I don't get to make the decisions, but if I did...
Even if Luchanko looks good in his final showing(s) he still gets sent back to juniors, no 9 game trial. UNLESS the Flyers have a trade in the works that opens a spot...still sending him back. No if, ands or buts he needs to get stronger.
I personally believe Lycksell EARNED a roster spot to start the season, as did Brink. 14 forwards, 7 defensemen, 2 goaltenders fills the 23 man roster, but does it fit the cap?
Does RyJo still count against the cap while there is a grievance open? They have the LTIR, but don't they have to meet the cap requirements first before using it?

Last season, he did for sure. So far this camp, he hasn't been bad but hasn't stood out and is in the Phantoms group at practices. |

Jett is a big part of the future. I don't think it hurts anything/anyone to give him a few games as a way to show him he is the future. I do believe that having him play after his junior season is over at end of season is more important than a 9 game trial. I do not believe the 9 game trial is a big deal either way. He needs to improve no doubt. |

Lycksell should be kept. Have him practice let the coaches see him every day. even if it is slight, he has some upside
ND waived. He serves zero purpose at this time. keeping him accomplishes what? they owe ND absolutely nothing. in fact, he owes them.
I dont think he counts (not 100% sure) though lest say the flyers lose they will then have to get cap compliant obviously. |

On a scale from Andreas Nodel to Michael Raffl, where does Lycksell rate? Mika Pyorala being passable. |

- – Kolosov has an agreement that if he does not qualify for the NHL by the end of next month, he will return to Dinamo Minsk before the end of this season. Therefore, the Belarusians are waiting for him without signing a contract with the new goalkeeper. Although they have options with Adam Huska (ex-Torpedo) and Ed Pasquale (ex-Barys). Alexei is ready to go to the AHL for a few games. But Dynamo are waiting for Kolosov, whose issue should be resolved by October 27-28," the source told us. |

Why do they need to give him a few games to show him he is the future? Why does he deserve that special treatment? If he needs to improve then why keep him in the NHL for any games?

I see him as a 4th line guy. Maybe there is some potential for a 3rd line but i can't see him anywhere but 4th line on the Flyers |

I think Lycksell is kept as 14th fwd. Id keep ND around as there are some teams like Rags where id like to see him in the lineup as Troubs is a PoS who is known to be dirty. I want someone to go after him if he starts taking cheap shots at Michkov. You know he os going to try and kill him
Pretty much most of ND contract would be buried. You can bury 1.15 mill so wed be on the hook for just 600k |

this line of thinking cracks me up. ND aint going to do poop to anyone. Nor will he prevent anything from happening. not 1 person on any team worry about ND.
nd is past his expiration date. there is no value in keeping him. |

Deslauriers is not going to stop or prevent any player from taking a run at Michkov. At best there would be a retaliatory fight which would be meaningless.

Queation for you smart folks in here. If/when kolosov goes to the AHL and they are forced to carry 3 goalies, can they just make Peterson a healthy scratch and have him ride pine for most of the season? I understand that he will count as a roster spot on the limited number of spots available but would it not be wise for the future of the franchise to let kolosov and makaniemi fight for the starter job?
Do they owe anything (besides 5m) to Peterson to let him keep playing and losing games?
TIA |

Of course they can, why not. There is no salary cap in the AHL. I don't know about roster rules for the AHL. As long as they can fit him on the roster, they're under no obligation to play him.

Besides, he is already qualified correct?
If the rumors are true about an agreement, it could be around development. Maybe kolosov thinks he would get better developmwnt playing back home. |
