Why do we have no push back? I thought we brought in a few guys that were supposed to have some snarl, but same old, same old. Why did they not hit anything in a Devils jersey after that hit on our best player? Can Rob Ray please come back???Even at 56 he has more passion than I just watched for 2 games.

If Dahlin is hurt and we all sure hope so, put in Gilbert as at least he can hit and is not a liability.

Did anyone happen to see that obituary in the Buffalo News a few months back?

Where the deceased asked for a player from the Sabres or Bills to be a pallbearer, so they could let her down one last time???

Watching cause I just enjoy hockey, but it looks like the Sabres are trying to make way to make one on one plays ….

and somebody needs to teach them how to get pucks through… man it look like they had a ton of pucks blocked or just deflected away…
I don’t know, cause I don’t follow close enough, but don’t they have a hammer on the back end that can really shoot it…

"I thought our first 40 minutes were really strong," Thompson said. "There's one or two mistakes we make in the third and they capitalize on it."

Don't worry you played a strong 40mins

The meier Hughes bratt line had more shots than the sabres as a team had

Buffalo is missing that grit....

Needs to inject some Laughton for Ostlund kind of energy!

Think it's more they need to grow a Set. It's like Adams snipped them off when they signed there Contracts.

They looked like a bottom 5 team

Come home win 2 and make everyone forget about the trip.. otherwise yikes

Im just not sure without a major hockey trade how you fix the soft mentality on this team. Tuch drops gloves then has visible ptsd from Bradys overhand right in real time when he squared up with Dillon. He should have jumped him instead was made to look pathetic and scared

Why didn't adams overpay for a guy like Dillon short term and move on from Samuelsson or joker is the main problem here. Its just embarassing that this guy got another offseason to do nothing of substance. Same core and same defense same problems so far

What I kept saying is that our nhl roster played basically an ahl team and won.

That doesn’t show or say much

We have enough grit. Tuch tage cozens samualsson Dahlin need to step up and actually produce

Our best forwards have been horrendous. The pp sucked last year and 0/6 this year

Nothings changed and it’s the same top 6 that can’t produce.

Our bottom 2 lines have been fine. Our 4th line was the best line game 1

These guys just do not care. No sense of urgency...just looking for a long summer vacation. Sissy Boy Sabres will never change until all the people stop buying tickets to watch them lose. Sell the team and get a minor league team. At least the tickets are a lot cheaper.

Watching inside the NHL on prime. They had an episode about Swayman.

Trade for his right immediately.

Like what he does and what he talks about.

And we won’t have to hear about a goalie for 7-8 years

Trade for his rights, lock him up and then trade one or both of UPL and Levi for anyone we can convince to come to Buffalo

“Tuch tage cozens samualsson Dahlin need to step up and actually produce.”

Maybe those guys playing with more grit in their game would help this happen.

Grit is not a characteristic that only exists in a vacuum absent of skill and talent...

Some grit and determination from your skill players is worth 100x more than a 4th liner.

Kev's riding with a core that is pretty soft, has drafted soft, and Donnie was soft.

It went as bad as it could go

They tightened up a bit defensively yesterday but overall they were unorganized and the top 6 played slow and disinterested

Bought out the leading goal scorer over the last 3 years and only scored 2 goals in 2 games to open the season

Bottom 6 will produce very little and Peterka is concussed in game 2 of the season
