Not feeling that comment about Buffalo and points, RW. I could be wrong but I think they have beaten the Pens more than vise versa the past season or two...

I know I said last night that Hayes might be slower than Carter but he proved that thought to be wrong a few shifts later when he was digging in entering the Habs zone. He's faster than Carter was the past few seasons...but not by much hahah

He's talking about Sid and Geno getting points vs. the Sabres for their milestones, not the Pens winning overall as a team

Ah yes, I think you're right. I just re-read. Still not a fan of the comment, though haha. Guess Sid and Geno will have to wait a bit longer for milestones...

Hayes is almost comically slow but like RW said he's good positionally and can finish.

Now that McG is down I'm baffled by people in Pens world being wowed by Glass. I don't really notice him at all.

Sid is looking like he did when Jake first left. poopty and frustrated. He had 2 set ups in front to Beau and Rusty and neither got a shot on net. He's forcing plays and seems neither winger is really helping with the workload.

Rusty looks like he rehabed with pizza and beer

He’s 4C. I doubt anyone is wowed. The 4th line is working right now and I think the coaching staff is hopeful Glass will improve mentored by Hayes but I can totally see him being the first one scratched if someone in WBS earns an NHL game

Not so much here. TBH I don't think he's been mentioned on this board since pre season. More so on Pens Twitter

Nice to see a win with the bottom six getting three goals. That's something that was lacking, when a top six line struggled like Crosby's did, we just lost.

Yeah, Liz will replace Glass assuming everybody is still healthy when he comes back.

I forgot about him. Agreed. Glass won’t survive Lizotte coming back.

This is where I'm at with the 4th line. Its just looked pretty good and seems to work. Sum is more than it's parts kinda thing. I do think Glass has stood out a few times in good ways using his speed especially...in his only 11.5 mins a game.

Just went and looked and Glass has basically been their best analytical player haha. Him, Hayes and Rak are top three in xGF, HDCF% and CF% at 5 on 5

Obviously that’s good but means next to nothing with such a tiny sample size

Glass just QUIETLY going about business I guess.

I'll admit to not being 100% tuned into the broadcasts as my new puppy is a demon when he gets board.

Rak looks like a completely different player to start the year. Seems much faster and is everywhere. Just ripping pucks. Coulda had a hatty with some friendlier pipes. I think he hit 3 posts last night.

I totally get that, obviously, or I hope that's obvious at this point, but I did say he's stood out in good ways to my eyes as well before before looking that up.... But I guess the same thing can be said about small samples and eye tests as well...

Yeah I saw him say last season bothered him and he spent the offseason getting stronger and faster to try and come out the gate better. Took him 19 games to score last season though I do remember thinking he was playing pretty good just not burying chances.

Did they officially send McG down? I though the was just scratched, I didn't see him sent to the AHL yet.

He was in the post game locker room last night in a suit cheering for Eller being handed the player of the game helmet from Bloom.

A 500th goal and 1600 point on the same play.

Wonder who gets the puck?

If he hasn’t he needs to be. Having him sit games in the press box is the worst thing we can be doing with him right now

Geno. 500 goals means a ton to him.

Agree with this, no reason to keep him up if he's not playing every game. Dubas even said this.

I don't think Glass has been a problem at all. Fourth line as a whole has been much better. But I don't think they gave Lizotte that contract to sit him before he ever gets in a game. And I do think Glass ends up being the odd man out right now.

I agree this is the most likely scenario as well.

Its somewhat of a foreign feeling to have a bit of half competent depth scratched or waiting to be called up haha
