I was pretty critical of Dostal after that Utah game… but it was so damn good last night. It was crazy….

The rest of the team on the other hand, just sucked ass…

Every time we play Colorado our lack of foot speed is just out there for the whole world to see…

And defensively it’s like we never even seen a Fore check.

Cronin has got to go. He just sucks. He doesn’t get the team prepared. And he has no idea how to make endgame adjustments.

Of course, once again our power-play just completely blew chunks.

Need a complete game tomorrow to get the W.

I watched Carlsson last night, kids gonna be a gem, so skilled. What's going on with McTavish, he looks terrible.

No Vatrano, no Lindstrom, no LaCombe, and they took a desperate Av's team to OT. They are not all going to be Mona Lisa's. The Ducks have 7 players 23 or under, and unlike last year, they are entertaining to watch. That's OK with me right now.

I see where you’re coming from but shouldn’t we also be desperate???

What the hell is with LaCombe anyways … you seem to be pretty plugged in…

And Mason is a shell of himself… he looks horrid.

Well. I been ragging on Cronin for a a year now. And I've been very critical of him. But it's only his second year. So he's probably not going anywhere. Just as long as he get the idea of match ups and making adjustments. It's just in the regular season you play a different team every game. So teams are faster, deeper, bigger, stronger, more skilled, more experienced, ect. And if the Ducks wana win reliably for now on they are gonna have to make adjustments.
Like in that game in Colorado. For some reason the Ducks just didn't skate fast enough. They had no choice but to defend. And that was a small adjustment that they had to do to get a point. Hopefully that's not the norm. I mean playing that slow will kill them. But getting a point in a very difficult match up is good. Not optimal. But good.

No clue about LaCombe, the only thing I can think of is whatever he's got must be infectious, hopefully he's back soon.

100% agree on McT! The dude had the puck in the (frank)ing slot in the Av's game and passed it! Maybe the dude's been taking noted from Getzlaf. Maybe this future captain poop has gone to his head. I don't know, but he needs to be riding the pine real soon if this keeps up.
The Ducks were desperate at the end of the game, why they can't do that for the other 58 minutes is because a lot of them are still dumb kids. I've got 2 boys, 27 and 18, and they both went through this. My 18 year old sometimes does the most incredible things that make me so proud and I say to myself, "He's finally getting it!" A little while later he'll do something so incredibly (frank)ing stupid that I want to kick him out of the house and disown him. That's the way their brain works. Mine did too but back then my dad could beat the poop out of me when I did something stupid and no one cared. We can't do that anymore, we have to live with the good and the bad and wait for them to grow out of it.

Yeah. That kings game was better than the Avs game. The Ducks hung in there for two periods. The wheels fell off in the third when they got down by a goal and then they had to push the puck up the ice faster. They need to show discipline with the system. Because as they get better at executing the system the play will get faster. Tying to force speed while still learning will just cause turnovers. And this applies to any system the Ducks try to do. It's pretty much gotta be execution before speed. There are some offensive and defensive systems that are simpler and easier to learn. But it'll all take time. The important thing is to do it right.
