Thanks Trevor.
It would be nice to see the Flames get a top 3 pick, but I agree there’s zero chance they could get 3 1st oa picks in a row. I don’t think any team has ever sucked that bad.
Flames offence is dreadful, is there any player on the team that scares the other teams? Sharangovich, Kuzmenko, need to get going. Unless the forwards pick up the pace it will cost Conroy to trade UFA’s.
Rangers are legit but are looking for another top 4 D and a 2nd line center, they’ve got Gabe Perrault as their #1 prospect.
Canucks need D help in the worse way, they’ve taken a huge step back. Willander could be available.
Colorado needs another center and a decent goalie. Ritchie would look good in a Flames jersey.
In other news it’s looking like the 2 2nd round picks Basha and Battaglia could be steals in the draft.
Flames tied for 2nd in the Pacific because we’re getting above average goaltending and our D is playing over their potential. Huska’s looking like a great pick to lead this ragtag bunch of a team.
November 20th and the Flames are still ahead of the Oilers with a game at hand. Go Flames!

Agreed to all. Gabe Perrault would be a coup!

Zary looks pretty good at center but he's concentrating on playing responsibly there so his offense is suffering. He's even won some face-offs. I have nothing but time and good things to say about Zary. He needs some different linemates, perhaps, is all.
Sharangovich is worrisome, on the other hand. I don't think he's meshing well with his linemates. Is a Coronato for Sharangovich line swap feasible?
I'd take a short playoff run and another draft pick at 17th if it meant that we could hold the Oilers out of a wildcard spot.
Here's hoping we get a good game from Vladar against the Rangers. |

Pretty impressive first quarter of the season for you guys I'll admit. Don't know if it will sustain all season but why not be thinking playoffs are a possibility. That's looking more likely than a bottom 5 finish that's for sure.
You're definitely doing more with less and a more than my Oil so far. |

I think Flames success is 80% goaltending. Coming into this year we had no idea what we had between the pipes, just a lot of hope Wolf could transition the way he has in the WHL & AHL. That is looking promising at this point but its a long year.
Sharagosonofab!tch started slow last year & the injury didnt help his start this year either. Patience.
I think Conroy needs to weaponize the cap space along with some decent young pieces for us to get what we want. Colorado & Rangers are probably targets. We need young centers stat!!!
One thing we all know, great goaltending sure can make a turd smell like roses |

One has to think that Conroy is smart enough to know that this team is bubble at best.
Sell high on Anderson and get what you can for Kadri. |

Almost a 1/4 way through the season and Flames are burning the Oilers and Canucks in the standings.

lol I caught a bit of the Flames Rangers game the other night then the Oilers Minny game and man the Flames are playing structured Hockey. Unreal. Oilers looked like Junior B slop vs Minny... |

I don’t think the Flames play is sustainable, but man has Huska and crew done a good job with the scraps.
Oilers crapping the bed, is a huge + for Flames fans. Knobby on his way out?
At the end of the year, well see the cream rise to the top. |
