Due to the Nash dominoe falling, Bobby Ryan is starting to see more attention. I see a three way trade between Colorado, Buffalo, and Anaheim that maybe with some tweaking could be good moves for all three franchises.
To COL: Bobby Ryan
To BUF: Paul Statsny
To ANA: BUF 1st rounder, COL 2nd rounder, Nathan Gerbe, Tyson Barrie(blue chip avs d prospect)
What do you guys think? |

I bet Buffalo could get Ryan themselves with a slightly modified version of that package. |

Buffalo gets Statsny for Gerbe and a first
Colorado gets Ryan for Statsny, Barrie, and a second
Anaheim gets all that for Ryan.
Not a bad idea if you look at it that way.

That's what I'm saying all teams fill a need.
-Avalanche get their needed proven scoring winger and this provides space for Joey hishon to play for the big club.
-Sabres get a center who will THRIVE with vanek.
-Anaheim gets a number of picks and talented prospects for an unhappy player. |

I think Buffalo gets the most for what they give up, but then again Stastny doesn't have a great contract value right now and the Avs seem interested in moving him so maybe it all works out. |

I can't see ANA making the deal. Think they'd want a more proven player or two. |

I don't doubt it, but I think they go after more than just picks and Nathan Gerbe.
No offense to Gerbe, but he isn't exactly someone you are targeting in a deal. Maybe he is thrown into a deal, but they need to be getting something better.
This isn't like Nash who had a bad contract and a NTC. IMO Ryan is worth more than Nash on a trade market and look at what he got. |

Well, Statsny for Gerbe and a first is a steal for the Sabres.
In that case, they may be willing to increase that. I know they don't want to get rid of Ennis, but if it gets them Statsny, they may think twice. |

Joey hishon sucks, so no trade. To many question marks with our other centers so we need to keep Paul Statsny. |
