So with all the "news" of Tampa talking to Buffalo about Miller, let's have some fun here (and since I don't post on Garth blogs, I just wanted to start somewhere to talk about it...).
So I don't imagine we'd ever hear that Darcy has asked for Miller's 8 teams, and highly doubt we'd ever hear who those 8 teams are, but what are your guesses? I've read a lot, but wanted to get ideas here and we can work through them.
"Back in the day", when I was around more, I saw a lot of people say there's no way he'd block inside the division because Darcy wouldn't have the balls to trade there, and to a lesser extent same goes for the entire Conference. So with that in mind, here's my thoughts:
Winnipeg, Phoenix, Calgary, Columbus, Edmonton would round out Western conference teams I'd think would be along the "no brainer" line of thought
Islanders, Florida as 2 others, leaving a spot up for grabs. I've heard NJ, but that team has done wonders in the past with a great goalie (in no way matching Miller to Brodeur people...back off), so perhaps he would go there.
I'd be interested in hearing others thoughts

If I'm Miller I'd be falling on the sword right now (sorry for the pun). For all the crap myself and others give him he is a professional and he loves to compete. I've said all along that if he has a solid D in front of him he picks his level of play up big time.
If I'm Chiarelli right now I'm kicking the tires on Miller. They've got a solid team but I'm not sold on Rask.
IMO Miller
accepts a deal to:
LA, Anaheim, San Jose, Detroit, NY, Chicagoj, Pitt and Boston. He'd block all the rest.
Good point about not blocking division teams b/c Darcy does NOT have the balls to trade ANYWHERE let alone in the division.
In order: Edmonton, Calgary, Phoenix, C-Bus, Winnipeg, NYI, Florida and Tampa are teams that Miller would NOT be interested in going to under any circumstance.
Oh, and, hey Stash ! Nice to see you on here !
