Even though they are picking at #4, i'd be shocked if whoever the selection is, has the same impact that Monahan did last year.

Unless one of the top 3 slip to 4 I believe we should take Dal Colle over Draistal. Im not sold on the German and think taking Europeans in the top 5 is risk.

I would love Bennett at 4 but really don't think he'll be available. There's too many trade rumors going on with the top picks. If Edmonton trades the 3rd then Bennett will be gone for sure.

I highly doubt MacT will trade the 3rd. flames have a great "garbage collection" position. Regardless of how the top-3 go, you'll get a nice prize at 4.

As for this year, obviously stoked abouut getting Bennett at #4, but, as i was adamant about grabbing a netminder in round #2, and i see they did...But Mason Mcdonald ?

I mean really, wtf. Thatcher Demko was (according to scouts) the only potential franchise netminder in this draft, and they left him on the table to selectMac instead. Adding to that injury, along comes vancoiver and grabs Demko 2 picks later.

Adding Hunter Smith is Huge, literally.

If any one needs to come into the NHL and make everyone eat sh*t, it's him.

Passed over last season, he better have that "truclent" chip on his shoulder. I really like this pick.

7 goals and 7 assists in 125 games with Chicago...here is our Cammi replacement.... Anyways...also not totally sold on the goaltender taken....especially when a more talented goaltender was still available.
Well....there is still free agency...would love to see Stastny here but I don't see that happening. I think this is where we can eat other team's salary dumps for picks
