No to Gardiner.
Only viable options now are either a trade for a good LD/RW or start the season with the group they have and hope for a miracle... |

With the Hurricanes sacrificing 2 years of ticket revenues to pay for the next 12 months of S Aho’s contract the Habs are forced to move on to the next option to help their hockey club for the upcoming season.

God you sound jaded.
What about the following 3.5 years when they pay next to nothing for him? |

I'd forget the LD upgrade unless its a fair trade. Rather invest on a good RW and again via trade.
And it's Chiarot, not Chariot.

Someone sounds super pissy. Thanks for making Waddell’s Summer easy. $21M is a drop in the bucket for TD. The guy makes that in a month from just TopGolf.
Focus on developing your own players instead of OSing, then maybe your GM and the entire organization wouldn’t be looking like an asshat right now. |

To be fair I think last year Gardiner was not playing on the 1st wave of the PP because Toronto was running a 4 F - 1 D setup with Morgan Rielly in the 1st wave, as they were not the year before. Explain the difference in PP points.
If Gardiner can be had for a reasonable price, I think he could help. The fact that he didn't signed yet seem to point that he could be had for less that was what speculated at the start of free agency too. |

Exactly^ Very easy long term investment. it was a ridiculous and poorly constructed offer sheet.
It was a publicity stunt so habs fans are tricked into thinking Bergevin is trying. It shows how arrogant they and some of their fans are thinking they could bully a smaller franchise with money in SBs |

If it was that easy why didn't the Canes offer him that contract to begin with? Obviously it was an issue or Aho wouldn't have talked to Montreal at all....
The Carolina Hurricanes and one of their 12 fans calling out the Habs organization lol now I've heard it all!
Your star player signed a deal to play for this asshat organization, what does that say about the Canes franchise? |

You realize this league is based on competition right? And if he saw an opportunity to try and take advantage of one of the league's sh!tiest franchises, so be it.... this is the NHL, where the big boys play, you wanna cry more about your b!tch franchise getting bullied? You belong in the AHL!! |

I'd say no to Juolevi as well. He seems to be injured all the time. |

Poor little Canes fans are still butthurt about being slighted. Can you (frank) off already? None of us give a poop about your 12 fans or your team. |

Agreed. Alzner 2.0. If he was to sign not a dime over 4million for 4 years. Highly overrated player. |

Not disputing that, but the thought of paying first pairing money for an ok #4 defenseman is revolting. |

It would have to be more than Joulevi coming back. Leafs gave up a first for one year of Marleau. And there are still Leaf fans waving the Dubas flag. Four guys making ten mil and eleven players barely over the minimum. And Barrie wants 8M to extend or he goes UFA. Unbelievable. Leafs were looking good before Tavares signing. I was starting to worry they might actually win a cup. No longer |
