Checking onhockey.tv and atm they have a link to nhl.com streaming along with all the other leagues on the planet lol. It is early still tho if they’re showing the rookie games, because they aren’t a current option but no games are being played til the 15th right?

The ‘Forever’ logo is like a clock. With the O’s representing 8 and 10 missing. The season starts (in NA) on the 8th day of the 10th month.

The rookie tourney is kind of stupid, understandable but not the safest for the players. It’s a bunch of young kids trying to prove they’re worth a contract, and not even just in the NHL. There is guys there playing amped up just trying to earn an ECHL contract.

Could just be a typo. It does start October 4 & 5 - Jersey and Buffalo are playing in the Global Series in Munich - but the season proper starts on October 8 for everyone.

I'm guessing that's how they are penciled in to start camp. Hard not to like the idea of Tanev and Rielly and hard to separate Benoit and McCabe with how well they played together most of the time. OEL and Lilly become the Swedish House Mafia with Hakanpaa stealing minutes from everywhere.

I wonder if we don't eventually see McCabe and Tanev paired as a shutdown pair. Rielly seems to play his best with sheltered/offensive minutes (less defensive responsibility and easier matchups) ...so maybe you see him paired with Hakanpaa or OEL.

Doesn’t need to last long for me. If he’s a cover for the dozen games Tanev might miss (based on fake’s prediction) I’d be very pleased.

My only question regarding McCabe and Benoit is where each player truly belongs. Is McCabe a second pairing skill? Yes I think that’s pretty much agreed. Is Benoit? I don’t know?

As for OEL and Liljegren my question is simple. Could they play the defensive side of the game well enough?

I’m sincerely curious, I won’t pretend to know the game Berube intends on bringing to the table. I vaguely know what he was like in St. Louis but does that guarantee his approach? Might be adjusted in Toronto?
