Luneau is an absolute beast. I saw him at the rookie challenge. The guy is just huge and didn’t lose any of his quickness. He’s got to be playing on the Ducks this year.

Pretty much a no-brainer. None of the kids are ready yet to handle the responsibility. And while his play wasn't always great, his effort was always 100% and that's a great quality to instill in these kids. Radko will be a great captain for the next few years.

Could you imagine being Cam Fowler and having playing almost 1000 games in the basement with this Anaheim franchise just to have them name Radko Gudas the captain.

LOL. I am sure Radko is a good locker room guy but he is a 3 year plug for them. I get it, but strange.

I like this move. Gudus represents the old ways of hockey. Grit is a thing lost on the new generation of fans and players. It's more than just physical play. It's a attitude. A attitude that says we're not going to give up or give in. It's sets a tone of team play and keeping the other team accountable. In a day in age of stats and Analitics which glorify individual performances, grit says " We're gonna kick butt as a team". Teamwork seems too be in short supply in the NHL these days. Players who help other players with, Passing, Screens, Hits, Defense is frowned upon by the bean counters. Even some Coach's don't understand Teamwork anymore. Buts effects are still seen in winning hockey teams. Teams that play for each other instead of stats. So I do like making Gudas a Captain. Because he represents team first. And that's how the Ducks are gonna change things around. Buy building a team and not just a group of players playing for themselves

Luneau looks fantastic.... Def going to be in the lineup opening night.

Great pick for Captain. Verbeek has been excellent. I know the last few seasons have been tough but this team is going to be beastly with some seasoning.
