This is cool. I like the graphics, although I don't understand the numbers behind them. If Montreal is a 57 then Toronto is probably 67. Do them next. |

Will you be doing all 32 teams or just the 18 you have writers for? |

Season starts in 11 days. Nine if you take weekends off. It looks like a lot of work, especially getting all the graphics right and the scoring system for all these factors. Doing all 32 teams would mean posting 3 or 4 per day. Plus there is other news to report...Swayman holdout, Suzuki/Perfetti trade, etc... |

Also seems weird to say Kent Hughes lacks creativity. This is the GM who got a 1st round pick for taking on Monahans contract, then later traded Monahan for another 1st. Pretty creative to me. He got a 1st for Toffoli, a 1st for Chiarot, cleverly retaining salary to enhance the return. He used some of these picks to add promising young players like Dach and Newhook. He correctly realized Primeau would be claimed on waivers, so carried 3 goalies long enough to trade Jake Allen for a 3rd.
What move would change the GM meter to become creative? |

I think Hughes has done well in the rebuild. Not sure if Habs fans feel the same way. Maybe he could have been better drafting? He's committing to a rebuild which is maybe the ownership's demands more than his own, but they are doing well building for the future.

It's pretty self-explanatory. The Hockeybuzz Hockey Meters! Twelve factors, plus the Ek factor to make 13. Montreal's score is 57. Looking forward to the rest of the teams.

I cheer for both teams. But Montreal is a few years removed from a Stanley Cup final. They are doing their first full rebuild in their history and will have a great team sooner than later. You don't want to see who has spent the most time on the golf course over the last couple of decades, it's not even remotely close. |

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Hughes is the top GM at this point (and he does it for free!)

criticizing Kent Hughes is a non starter. Just makes your POV meaningless. |
