I just hope he doesn't get homesick on the ice tonight. - Glak18
He might get spooked by all the rubber coming his way all game

The Flyers think about waiving Deslauriers about as much as they thought about trading TK. It doesn’t even enter into their thinking. |

They did that last season, not a fan of it. Do you want Andrae to sit on the bench or play? Having 8 D men would dictate that he sits for some games - WhiskeyMan
He may sit some games sure, but we all know injuries will happen, and there is a chance if Risto plays well he will be traded, so I would rather have Andrae playing and practicing with Shaw and the Flyers players than back down with the Phantoms at this point. |

Not sure what you are watching or even if you are watching. Andrae has had a very good camp and clearly is ready for the NHL. The Flyers can start with 8 defenseman. - jd250
He needs to play but ihe’s not beating out York, Seeler or Zamula for playing time so would be better off on the phantoms.
The Left handed defensemen on the Flyers team and in the system need a serious upgrade. |

I agree that Andrae should be on the Flyers but you place way too much value on the coaching ability of Shaw.

Andrae is not competing for a spot with York or Seeler. If I'm not mistaken, Zamula can play both sides but I could be wrong.

if RR is as good as you say, why would you want to trade him? flyers goal is the playoffs.
unless Andrae is in the top 6 there is no need to be on the flyers roster. his play hasn't beaten anyone out yet at this point. back to the phantoms. goes to not really having any roster spots open for someone to win. |

Oh c'mon...not even a little interested in seeing Kolosov. He did well in the KHL, but can he handle an upgraded AHL team?

And even in this pre-season, ND can't keep up with the play. Briere has got to waive him, no one is picking him up and even if they did, who cares? - jd250 It would be a joyous occasion if someone actually picked him up off of waivers, but yeah, that ain't happening. |

Ugh, Farabee must be asking himself WTF. How am I stuck in this lineup? This is brutal.
For the record ND has no place on an NHL roster.
I would rather Ollie play so at least the 4th line can be put out more than 6 minutes a game on average.

Why trade Risto? 1. He has trade value for contending teams looking for a physical presence on their backend, 2. He makes too much money and the Flyers need the cap space, 3. There are kids ready to step in and take his spot (Andrae, Ginning for example). Depending on matchups game to game, I don't mind if Andrae starts out as the 7th defenseman and works his way into the lineup due to injuries or strong play. Not sure how much more he is going to develop in the AHL.

Would you rather Andrae develop under Lappy or under Torts and Shaw? For me, I want him with Shaw, who has shown since he has been here he can develop defenseman, e.g York, Risto and even Walker last season. |
